Best Gaming Keyboard – Gaming Mice – Gaming Hardware – Game Guides
Best Gaming Keyboard Home Page
Hi folks, Tim here at the best gaming keyboard (-s) bringing you updates of what’s currently on the consumer market and to help point you in the right direction if you are considering buying a new keyboard or simply upgrading your old one, all the latest models are covered and this site is continuously updated.
This site is having a bit of a makeover at the moment, as I seem to be having a few indexing problems.
Best Gaming Keyboard Updates
Anyway back to the plot, in the future I hope to be posting reviews of the latest and best gaming keyboards from all the most popular makers as well as all associated gaming hardware, such as mice, headsets, chairs wheels etc, you will see from the index that a start has been made in this direction, and since my last edit I have also added a PC games page, but I struggle to keep this updated as there seems to be dozens coming out every week.
I was going to edit the next few paragraphs out because this was the very first site page and some of it was just padding that I could use as an index before I had a proper index page set up, but I have decided to leave it in because it contains anchor links to other product pages. The Logitech company was my first best gaming keyboard target, and the G19 review was the first posting on this site, followed by the other current Logitech models the G510 and the G110, even though some of Logitech’s keyboards are now a little old and may soon finish production I will still be posting reviews of the current model range, as at the time of writing they are still available, notably the G11, and G15 keyboards and the G13 Gameboard, although this is not classed as a keyboard as such, it is such a popular unit with gamers that it deserves inclusion here.
I am aware these reviews have already been well covered already on the internet pages, but I do feel it is beneficial to bring them all together if only from a future historical viewpoint, it might be amusing to look back years from now and say “I cannot believe what the best gaming keyboard was 2010″
I will of course be adding similar reviews for all other notable makers as time goes on, realizing also that many of these reviews will become obsolete as time goes by, but new products will be emerging all the time and will be added to this site’s pages as they appear. I hope that you will bookmark these pages and drop in occasionally for any new review additions or you may be able to subscribe to the RSS feed of best gaming keyboard, I hope it works as I have not been able to test it, maybe someone would like to try it and leave a comment to confirm.
The best gaming keyboard offered by the Microsoft is probably the X6 but the X4 and Reclusa models are still available.
The Razer range of products continues to expand, and the best known of these at present is probably the Lycosa and the Lycosa Mirror, Tarantula and Arctosa keyboards although a couple of these by the latest models such as the Blackwidow and Blackwidow Ultimate models as well as the Anansi and Marauder Starcraft2 units.
You will also find reviews on the old Saitek Cyborg, and Saitek Eclipse models in several versions, the Cyborg V7 keyboard is actually quite a nice unit but is a strange looking beast and from some aspects as it looks like a retro seventies device, maybe this was the thinking behind the design, and many of today’s gamers would not probably not remember Seventies science fiction television programs unless they caught the reruns. Be aware that Saitek name no longer appears on these.
I have now done the reviews for the Steelseries range of keyboards, there are quite a few models in this range to look at, most of the later versions are mechanical types using Cherry MX keys (the best) the currently produced range includes the Steelseries 6Gv2 the Steelseries7G, the Merc Stealth the new Steelseries Shift and a couple of units specially designed for particular games, the 68020 and a Z board World of Warcraft model, as the Steelseries bought the rights to the old Ideazon company products. Saitek also seem to have slipped quietly away from gaming keyboards market and sold their interests in it.
Best Gaming Keyboard – Another Heading
Hello, still reading? I wouldn’t bother going any further as there is now a few hundred words of filler, and nothing of any real interest if you are trying to seek out the best gaming keyboard.
Some other less prevalent keyboards used for gaming will also be listed here the such as the DAS model S Professional, XArmor U9BL and the Filco Majestouch, there are a few other products around but these are quite old and technology has caught up with them putting them in shade so much that they are unlikely ever to be considered for use by today’s generation of gamers so they will not feature in these pages unless I do an editorial about bygone gaming keyboards, It might prove interesting for some you.
Whilst still on this subject I must mention the mother, or should that be daddy of the best gaming keyboard (s) and that is the Optimux Maximus, this is a serious piece of gaming hardware that is simply the best there is, but, and it’s a huge but, the price tag on this unit is ridiculously high, so high in fact that I doubt very much that they sell more than a handful year, this is a unit for professional or very wealthy gamers only. Note here: it is my intention when I get time to contact the makers and ascertain exactly why this unit is soooo expensive, even with military grade electronics components inside it should be nowhere near the retail price they are asking, it will be very interesting to find out if I can get a response.
I would have liked this to become an authority site in time, that was my intention but as G has wrecked my visitor numbers, it is unlikely I will bother with it too much in the future, shame as that’s a couple of thousand hours work wasted on the best gaming keyboard site.
Thank you for visiting, best of luck to you all with your gaming
